Yahoo, another bluegrass festival!! Blythe is a 2 hour drive from Yuma. Fun to be back again and see some of the folks we met last year. Opening ceremonies consisted of sky divers. The fellow who jumped is 70 years old and for his 70th birthday, jumped 70 times in 10 hours, a guiness world record.

HI, I FORGOT TO ATTACH THE PICTURES OF SOME OF THE TYPES OF CACTUS MENTIONED IN THE BLOG. ALSO THERE WERE SOME UNIQUE PICNIC SHELTERS MADE OUT OF OCOTILLO CACTUS ON THE ROOFS! DOING SOME BOONDOCKING (FREE CAMPING OR DRY CAMPING) ON BLM LAND, THAT IS BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT. TONS OF IT AVAILABLE AND NICE HIKING. ... resort along the Colorado River. Koal got to swiim so she was happy. Gord was happy he had a martini in one hand, a book in the other and close to the water. Happy Place!!! Hot sunny days. Very dusty when the winds blow. That desert dust gets into everything.

After about 250 miles sweating and sat on a knife edge seat (yes it is abit narrow Mrduke) I stopped at a place called Blythejust short of the Arizona border at another Super 8 Motel. I didn't really know where the next possible stop was and it is one big desert and a bit warm to boot!
