... br> We are now in California (just) and tomorrow will reach Palm Springs. So very exciting for us. The trip has taken three weeks, and maybe we could have/should have stayed longer in some places such as Austin and San Antonio, but we have no regrets. This is not really the end of our journey as we hope to recuperate for a few days, or a week or two, and then take off for Monterey, California and a trip down Big Sur.

... was nothing like I expected! I think 'ramshackle' would be the best word to describe it! It was just a couple of old trailers and few funny wee buildings with some horse stables, in the middle of the desert (full of cacti). Rusty and Betty were interesting characters, probably the best word to describe them would be 'yokel'! They reminded us of the Beverley Hillbillies! And talked like them too! It was hilarious! Wow, what can we say, other than JFA!!! They were all great bands, kinda hard to choose a favourite. There were two stages going at the same time, so if we really liked one, we could do double duty. Very emotional moments. Opening ceremonies were awesome. First day, many tears (allergies of course)!!! They had sky jumpers jump with the American flag flowing behind them with the American National anthem playing…….and ...
