Taking a gap year has become extremely popular in the last 10 to 15 years. It's almost unusual if someone hasn't done it. What makes it more interesting is how they perceive their time abroad, either working or exploring. This landscape consisted of short widely spaced trees, red termite mounds and heat. The area is mineral rich and fossicking for gems is still a popular activity. Large cattle ranches are found in this area and we saw many a "caution –cattle on road" sign. I personally like ...

... i'm not sure if it's for the best to track them as surely having a brick on your back with and aerial make you a bit less aerodynamical. It was swimming off until some snorkelers got in the way, after they were shooed off the turtle happily swam off into the ocean.

Headed over to the rental hut so we could get snorkels, flippers and stinger suits. They place was a mess with no organisation, but we managed to get our stuff in the end. ...
