Ted didn't sleep a wink last night due to the very storms, it rained, hailed, sleeted and the wind blew wild, it was so cold that he put on all of his jumpers with the BLUE on on top because it was pouring with rain. Still no such thing as bad weather just the wrong clothing, so he donned his wet weather gear and off he strolled.

Start temperature 3.5c, finish 7.5c, not sure if it's a Brrrrday or a Grrrrrday, still he survived....

... br> Luckily the sun came out and Ted finally changed into his YELLOW jumper to finish the walk.

Todays section was from Perranuthnoe to Carleen, taking in 5 miles of the splendid South West Coast Path. The length of the walk was 9.4 miles which took us just over 5 hours to complete.

On route we both were alerted to the unmistakable splender of a jay in flight. The SWCP never ceases ...

... another. The hill in question was a particularly steep one and I didn't even make it up that far when the whiny sucky baby in me came to the surface and took over: "Forget this! This is ridiculous! These hills are too steep, and I have too much stuff, and my knees hurt and my thighs are like jelly and Goldie's chain is screwed!!I'm too old for this ****!!" And then the tears. Done in by some stupid hills. For the second time in the almost month since I started on my world bike quest ...

... coming along!

- 1.5 hours later, I ride my fully loaded bike down a single track short cut to the river pathway and then on to the train station.

- Get to the train station so on time that I jump on the wrong train!!

- Train staff were very helpful getting my bike on the train though neglected to check the ticket!

- Luckily train was headed in the right direction so I got off at the next station ...with my four panniers, 2 ...

... stone gate post of another house, all very impressive. The air was still and damp giving the feel of walking through low cloud as I gained height. I could hear a woodpecker not far away together with blackbirds and blue tits singing their hearts out. I was soon looking down on the valley and the route I had chosen kept me high.Part of the walk took me across a footpath for half an hour, the mist was down and you couldn't see very far in front of you- quite spooky ...
