Amazing place covered in coconuts shells and hammocks, all constructed with wash up from the tsunami. Nice staff, and good restaurant.

... the former is currently winning. It’s so easy to slip into a peaceful way of life here, the call to prayer echo’s around our perfect little house, calling devotee’s to prayer and the island exploring is so easy and free that its temping to achieve very little whilst we are here…so lets see.

One night however we took ourselves off to an annual island festival "Lanta Lanta" and it was HUGE, bustling and really good fun. The whole island ...

... but lucky for us we at least had the GoPro which kept us occupied while the sea creatures stayed in their homes. We proceeded on to 'Bamboo Island,' which was a beach with amazingly clear waters, but mostly just a stop for lunch. Don't get us wrong, it had the usual Thai beauty, but at this point everything was same same but different. After lunch, we hopped back on our boat and headed to Maya Bay, which was by far our favorite part of the trip. We could go into ...

Mr Krab-i was amazing. It had great western dishes and a nice atmosphere. It is owned by an Italian man. We also booked a four island tour for the next day at $32 each. Shaun, Em and I had a few drinks to end the evening and found a cool bar called Playground where they had buckets and open ...

... of the dark, deep water and fish this was somewhat of a challenge. Our tour guide had a head torch but when he looked the other way you might as well have been swimming with your eyes closed! It was really scary and pushed my boundaries but I made it through and the secluded beach was worth the effort. On the way back Kerry and I stood at the back of the speedboat which turned out to be the best part of the day with the wind in our hair and the splash of the waves! In lanta ...

... Hong Thong, which I'd seen on an episode of Top Gear once and wanted to try ever since, so I think I might purchase a bottle to see what it's like, haha! After the shop we continued our search for a takeaway, but when we eventually found somewhere that was open we just decided to sit down and eat. We each had a kind of chicken stir fried in red curry paste with rice dish, and a Coke each. It cost a total of 160 Baht, which is about 2 quid. Ha! Food done, we came back ...
