Phase two taken care of! That only leaves the dry garbage, which is ultimately destined for a landfill. We have a garbage pick up system on Koh Lanta that is very well organized. People use blue barrels at the roadside and the garbage truck comes around, empties the barrels, and takes the refuse off to a landfill. A pretty universal system. ... and there is street after street catering to whatever tastes you have in this department. Women, men, lady boys, live shows, ping pong shows, etc. Whatever you can dream up...or imagine...they already have it for sale.
We marveled at how well the public transportation worked in Bangkok. No matter where we wanted to go it was very easy to get there, and in a city of 10 million people....that's something.

After dinner we got a free shuttle to Pimalai. We were able to walk right onto the property and I can’t begin to explain how swanky this place was. We scoped out all the public places then walked down to the beach where they had an amazing beachfront restaurant filled with a bunch of yuppies in polos. We asked for a table ...
... and sinking beer after beer! We ordered a few different things from the restaurant and had some great food, good company and plenty of beers to wash it all down. Also plenty of tips for our upcoming places to visit (thanks Julia and mike) This was our last thai island for now, next up we are heading to north thailand to chiang mai, but to get there we have to take two overnight buses! Amazing place covered in coconuts shells and hammocks, all constructed with wash up from the tsunami. Nice staff, and good restaurant.
