Amazing place covered in coconuts shells and hammocks, all constructed with wash up from the tsunami. Nice staff, and good restaurant.

We woke up at 9:45am but I was still shattered! We had a quick breakfast then waited for our transfer to pick us up which was an hour late. The ferry to Phi Phi took 2 hours and the sun was out when we arrived yay! Phi Phi is actually really nice, I loved it! There are no vehicles on the island and to get from one side to the other there are paved streets with little shops and restaurants either side. Our hostel was ...

... beachside restaurant which had little cabana's one of which was free so I jumped in and relaxed until Stuart arrived. Ordering a yummy pineapple shake I waited and enjoyed the view which also included a game of beach volleyball being played in front of me.

After a while Stuart arrived and it was really nice to see a familiar face. I noted that the last time we'd seen each other we were in cold Vietnam and now we were in sunny hot Thailand. We chatted for a while ...

... Thailand, the people who live there give off that demeanour too. It is the Mecca for scuba diving and is a must go if you want to learn as the courses are so comparatively cheap. Koh Phangan Atmosphere - 3 Heritage - 3 Expense - 3 Entertainment - 4 Accessibility - 2 Overall - 3 Comments - Famous for the full moon parties it's a place to go if you're in to that - if not then it's a nice place to go when that's not ...
