This was the only thing available, it seems, on the entire peninsula, since this is the annual Rod Run. We're a little jammed in here, but comfortable, and it works fine.

For some reason, defined only by some cosmic being in another universe, we seem to stubble into major events, unwittingly. We did it in Pendleton, Oregon TWICE when the annual Roundup is there. ... an idea of how organised we were for this part of the journey Carla and I were still arguing about what our next step was. Carla was keen to spend the night in Seattle. Go to markets, check out the first Starbucks and maybe see some museums.....you know .....grown up stuff. I on the other hand wanted to go to a little town called Astoria, go see a small prison, a pizza shop and an old house. All film locations from my favourite childhood movie ........ you know.....kids ...
We set sail last night about 8.00pm for Samoa, we have travelled 341 nautical miles up to noon today.
Ocean is calmer than it has been over past 5 days!!!

time in school, they always had old models with funny robes and they
disrobe right away. One time, he asked somebody to volunteer from
the class and afterwards, he left to get some more papers. When he
came back, he was shocked that our volunteer was posing some risqué
moves on top of the kitchen table.
“What are you doing?” he asked
while everybody was laughing hysterically.

Just because I didn't see him this morning for breakfast, does not explain he is still sleeping
in his cabin or he simply volunteered to float somewhere in the
