... teille soveltuva rengas. Kalliiksi tuli, mutta nyt pitäisi Mindin pysyä hyvin vaikeammillakin teillä (ja toivottavasti menee myös entistä helpommin kaupaksi).

Ajoimme Melbournen läpi. Välttelimme keskustaan ja tulliteille joutumista, mutta raitiovaunuja emme silti onnistuneet täysin välttämään. Niiden seassa oli aika mielenkiintoista ajella, kun ne tupsahtivat yllättäen samalle kaistalle...

Eventually left home on Sunday - after 10.30am! Just too many farewells & things to organise when time was cut so short. (Not that we wanted to miss any of them).
It is much easier to procrastinate, but as they say in the classics 'if you know you are going to have to eat a frog, tis best not to stare at it for too long!' Almost postponed leaving for a day but ...

... see parts that weren’t open during the day. The fuse was lit but there was no powder keg at the end. Sound and light are ok but with no actors to tell the tale I kept feeling we were missing something and there was altogether too little fire for my liking. It’s not that it was a bad night but I felt we’d been promised something more.

... the main road and after a totally unsuccessful attempt to hitch a ride for nine people (unsurprisingly), we knocked a farmhouse door and arranged a taxi.

But that's not even the end of it. It just so happened that the most incompetent taxi driver in Victoria was working that day, and it just so happened that it was he that picked us up. As as you might expect, it just so happened that he didn't have a f**king clue where he was going. ...
