        ... and the view from the restaurant was great! The ride through the tunnels was awesome as you would feel the temp. drop as you rode in and then come back up as you rode out. We continued on into Virginia up highway 13 and into Maryland and on into Delaware. Had a little hail and severe rain in Maryland and the rain continued to dog us all the way to the ferry landing.         ... it Staten Island again? It so happens that we were picking up a couple from a hotel at Newark Airport. The bus driver seemed to get lost so at least we saw a bit of the airport as we drove around. Anyway we headed back towards New Jersey and landed at the Jersey City Assembly Hall (Stanley Theatre).         Went on a ride similar to the big funnel at White Water World in Oz. Me, Meg and Stephen climbed the stairs to the very top and just as we were getting in the tube Stephen had second thoughts. He ended up walking all the way to the bottom with everyone yelling 'boo'. Poor Stephen :(

        ... was held in New Jersey which as a place is pretty grim. I imagine if you inserted New Jersey into a thesaurus it would appear alongside words such as dump, dire and Barnsley. The design set within the stadium included two huge cardboard cut-outs of the iconic buildings the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State, both of course located in New York which says a lot in itself.
