Lucas got up early to do his first day of scuba diving, and although I had a full night's sleep, I continued to sleep in. It's very easy to feel relaxed in Yap. Recently, Forbes magazine did a travel article in which they named Yap as the "quietest place on earth." And I can tell you firsthand that this designation is true.
Much of the quiet atmosphere is a direct result of the Yapese culture -- it is rude ...
