After lunch we headed off to the relatively nearby Lake Elsinore to visit the outlet mall and conduct a little assault and battery on the credit card.       ... and fretted that I was awake and dreading the long drive.

      When I went out to put the first load in the van, I found that about 1/2 of the 2 gallon bottle of water had leaked out, soaking one of our comforters and bed mat. That pretty much solidified the need to bee-line home. We couldn’t camp in 30-40 degree temps with wet bedding and I wasn’t looking forward to pulling into a hotel with ONLY 9 hours until home.

      Our first day back in North America and jet lag is hitting pretty hard. We couldn't stay awake past 8 p.m., then I couldn't sleep past 3 a.m. I ended up getting up, making a cup of tea, and reading for a couple of hours. Then I went back to bed for a couple more hours.
