We spent a fun day in San Antonio yesterday doing all those interesting tourist things. The weather was beautiful -- hot and sunny, although rain is predicted for the next few days here. We visited the Alamo, which was built in 1724 and played a critical role in the Texas Revolution. The Siege of the Alamo, on March 6, 1836, symbolizes a heroic struggle against overwhelming odds as men ...

... 2 hr. delay. And still another bump -- an accident on I-10 right in downtown Houston at rush hour. That caused another big delay. Bottom line was that by the time we got to San Felipe to our next state park, the park was closed and the gates locked. Another uurrgghh! So we drove several miles further to a Walmart in Sealy, TX. Anyway, since we can't plug in at the storage facility to cool the refrigerator, because we trip the GFCI and there isn't room at the house right now, we decided that we would just run the generator while driving ...

... During our stay in Hill County, we bumped into a classic car show in Bulverde, TX - held in the Bulverde Baptist church parking lot. The car show was a lot bigger than it looked and we enjoyed meandering around, chatting with the town folk. I was lucky enough to have been followed in the hot dog line by the town gadfly. He felt it very necessary to explain why voting yes ...

    Again?

... one day, but this afternoon Bob called and was told that the guy who was working on it was sick today and apparently no one else could work on it. They hoped he would be back to work tomorrow, I hope so since there are several things I had planned to do this week before we travel to Weatherford next week. So now begins another waiting ...
