      A Little Over Priced

The service was friendly and efficient, the site is nice but a little too close to the road. All of the amenities were not available and I think the price was a bit high for this time of year. No pool, or hot tub in working order, and the twin creeks are not babbling enough to out weigh the sound of the traffic.

By the time we got up to the top it was dark so didn't see the view so much and it was cold up there. There was a ice skating rink inside and some shops etc. Was a nice trip but if you go try goin when its not so crowded and start ...

... for Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We had hoped to be able to make it in one go, but that was not to be. We had to overnight in the NW area of South Carolina and the following morning made the final road trek to Pigeon Forge.

We were very fortunate that Vera's boss offered us his wood lodge in Pigeon Forge. It was a very cozy 2 bedroom lodge with a fire place and Jacuzzi on the screened in terrace.

... shut the entire time. Remember, I was honoring my 18 year old promise and I did NOT promise that I would keep my eyes open. We hit 2 other Rides, which were both great and more my style...in other words, I didn't have to question whether I was going to die.  After the rides and scenic walk through the park (forests and it can be hilly in parts), we had some lunch at our included buffet and it was fairly good, the highlight ...

... recommend this campground if coming to see Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

The camp ground is in wears valley with mountains pretty much surrounding the valley. It's secluded enough to relax but only 10 minutes from Pigeon Forge and about 20 minutes to Gatlinburg. Less than 30 minutes to Cades Cove.

We will stay here again if we come up this way.
