... uneventful, spent tarmac treading between Carleen and Rame Farm, unfortunately to try and achieve a south/north direction (which is our goal), it is not always possible to use footpaths. During the route we passed through several typical Cornish hamlets and surpisingly many had covered bus shelters, which were very welcome for several pitstops due to the inclement weather.

As of the previous day you take your life in your hands avoiding the time trial exploits ...

... landing in a dishevelled heap on the other side.

The next stage caused confusion and at this point reaching for the map it was apparent that I had left it during one of our weather clothing changes.

We had to retrace our steps!!!( YOU DON'T APPRCIATE IT UNTIL YOU'VE LOST IT).

The final two miles of backwater lanes resembled an F1 race circuit, rather than a quiet amble.

... than actually biking. I knew I needed some bike focus but I didn't know where I should put that bike focus!! It was either a bit more of UK or head into France or up to Germany to see my friends Ina and Miguel. I was all over the place! And Doddling along. Deciding on the LEJOG has given me the focus I needed. And the realization that I'm not too fussed about being a tourist while I'm on my own. I've missed seeeing a lot of cool things in Cornwall ...but it's all good because now ...

... down from close to Rough Tor on Bodmin Moor creating a ford as the road crosses it. Luckily there is a footbridge over the water which would be very welcome if the river was in spate. The last part of the walk before coffee break took me from Trewint to Tresinney, again across a footpath, however this part was overgrown with brambles and I had to detour through a farm.
