... and cattle ranches. We briefly connected with 101 and broke off to venture on a slight detour to Cape Lookout. As we approached the ocean, a thin veil of mist was visible in the distance, which thickened as we grew near. ... the city's living room" it had a stage with group after group of tiny children dance groups entertaining their parents and guests just like a big living room. So fun and colorful. We saw that they were also serving up Indian food. We had a decision to make. ... This is a peregrine falcon. I once saw something on Nature that showed a Snowy Owl who lost a chick. She first mourned. Then she tore it apart to give to the other two starving chicks. In other words survival is THE most important on their minds. That falcon was either hungry (though his crop sure looks full) or it might have been a wayward bird in his territory that he had just killed. You are very lucky to have witnessed this!"

... didn't drink enough Fireball. BUT, I want to tell you just how good a buddy my high school wrestling teammate Pete Mowry is---just to make me feel better he took his bicycle out for a ride and on his way back he CRASHED. I firmly believe that he did it JUST so I would not be suffering alone. That's definitely either a sign of a TRUE buddy OR it might be the sign of another old **** who has trouble staying upright.

  • then south on Hwy 101 to Lincoln City
  • visited the Outlet Mall and the Indian Casino in LC before heading back inland to Dallas
