... This is a peregrine falcon. I once saw something on Nature that showed a Snowy Owl who lost a chick. She first mourned. Then she tore it apart to give to the other two starving chicks. In other words survival is THE most important on their minds. That falcon was either hungry (though his crop sure looks full) or it might have been a wayward bird in his territory that he had just killed. You are very lucky to have witnessed this!"

At the bottom are tide pools filled with barnacles and colorful starfish and bright green anenomae. We explored the pools in the cold wind with cold feet underwater.   • then south on Hwy 101 to Lincoln City
  • visited the Outlet Mall and the Indian Casino in LC before heading back inland to Dallas
