... This is a peregrine falcon. I once saw something on Nature that showed a Snowy Owl who lost a chick. She first mourned. Then she tore it apart to give to the other two starving chicks. In other words survival is THE most important on their minds. That falcon was either hungry (though his crop sure looks full) or it might have been a wayward bird in his territory that he had just killed. You are very lucky to have witnessed this!"

As we moved from Winchester Bay to the Elks RV campground in Tillamook the day started out pretty good with no problems getting propane at the Salmon Harbor Marina or diesel at the Pacific Pride self service station. ... from 121 dairy farms in the area, making some of the best cheeses in North America. Their medium cheddar was voted the best in America. We sampled many varieties at the end of the tour and then we bought a few kinds of their cheese. They also make fudge so we bought some of that too.
