wildlife, hiking and sharing a campfire – it felt great being in a
tent again. I headed north toward Toronto and Cindy went west to
Tampa to help her daughter (new grandchild in early May).

Although we had no trouble getting on our feet for the hustle, we weren't sure whether to stand when they played the Canadian national anthem. Lucky John won $60 in the 50/50 draw, actually claimed the prize even though Larry warned him that visitors could buy the tickets but weren't eligible for the cash.

... having had several fun hours. I was driving and detoured via Venice Beach to the Pier….the children alighted from the car and headed straight for the large boulders that line the breakwater…rock hopping their way all the way down the Pier to the end and back again.
Fisherman line both sides of the walkway out onto the Pier and it is always interesting to see what they are catching, while watching the sun dip into the ocean at sunset.
