... We put our rental in 4WD and headed for the back roads. I will let the images tell the story.

The foliage here is at the peak - lots of yellow and orange, a little red. The green of the pines makes an interesting contrast. Very beautiful!

Brian particularly enjoyed watching some elderly gentlemen fly fishing in The Tropphy Ponds - a famous section of the Connecticut River. They were fishing from a small bridge, much ...

Rode for 5 hours...dropped the horses off in the pasture, untacked them, watched them roll in the dust, kick up their heels, neigh and whinny and run around the pasture, so happy to be free of us riders!

Activities were planned for the day - ...

Needing gas I pulled into a Gulf station....ugh...$3.20 A GALLON FOR HIGH TEST.... guess it's so high because they are next to the border....it is what it is when the reserve light is on. We are now on VT 114 and tracing the VT/CN border for awhile before turning south on VT114. This is some spectacular riding in the Northeast Kindom (NEK) of VT. Eventually VT114 turns south through the Kingdom State Forest....another well protected and beautiful piece of NE ...

After some dirt roads and our all too brief stay in Canada we are headed back to the US. But not without first stopping for lunch at a small diner before the border. And if your in Quebec Poutin is always a must off the menu. French Fries and gravey...brown gravy that is wonderfully tasteful and thick..... Well it was time to head for the ...
