ahhh...after a GREAT day riding...headed back to the US!!!

Rode for 5 hours...dropped the horses off in the pasture, untacked them, watched them roll in the dust, kick up their heels, neigh and whinny and run around the pasture, so happy to be free of us riders!

Headed down to the US....got scrutinized by the lonely US border agent....she actually went in the trunk ...

Eventually VT114 turns south through the Kingdom State Forest....another well protected and beautiful piece of NE ...

After some dirt roads and our all too brief stay in Canada we are headed back to the US. But not without first stopping for lunch at a small diner before the border. And if your in Quebec Poutin is always a must off the menu. French Fries and gravey...brown gravy that is wonderfully tasteful and thick..... Well it was time to head for the ...

... lead us to the east side of the Connecticut lakes. Well, surprise - about 15 miles into the forest we came upon a fork in the road and this wasn't a choice of taking the road less traveled....we would have been happy to do that....no, these forks were heavily gated and protected at the edges so as to make them reasonably unpassable....

So we were left with the only realistic option ...
