... feel like rock stars, we also had what felt like the entire city of Clinton descend upon our tent today. Families, couples, children, and anyone else not included in those descriptors were everywhere on the lot and filled our tent both shows with laughter and cheering.

Before the show, I was hanging out in my house and since we’re parked next to the animals, I’d been hearing a lot of families exclaim over the zebras and elephants a lot. This one 7 year old boy took ...

Did I really want to see Chicago?

      ... thank goodness.

After about two hours in searing heat we get out of Chicago and we stop. I get off the bike and nearly fainted, I was suffering from heat exhaustion and dehydration. Two bottles of water and about 10 minutes later I was OK again.

Good to visit Chicago but not like that!

Another 100 miles and getting to the hotel, having a shower and then a couple of beers was very welcome indeed!!

More later as internet connections not too good. Pictures won't upload yet so stay tuned. . .

After packing the coach Friday and Saturday, we hitched up the Escape and headed west. I have included a picture taken by my friend Jim Tschantz. I can't say I don’t do windows any more. It was an uneventful trip through Grand Rapids, past Holland and Benton Harbor into Indiana. Being Sunday, traffic was light and road construction ...

... the road. Traffic was terrible p, so it took an hour to get back, and then we pretty much made our way out of the city and onwards west. We drove until about 8ish and then we stopped at a KOA in a small place called Lena. It was a beautiful little caravan park, with a pool and slide, an awesome playground for Kaya, even with a jumping pillow! :) we pretty much had dinner and ...
