Another Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood . . .

A travel blog entry by jimconnietravel

Good Morning! Merry Christmas! As Mr. Rogers would say "It's a beautiful Day in the Neighborhood." The wind has died down, the ocean waves settled, the sky is blue and we slept in (an hour) this morning!

Up and walked Rowdy . . . Now this is always the debate . . . who walks who? I think Rowdy walks us! Now Rowdy being a bird dog by …

In light of the elementary school shootings in CT, we all find ourselves in mourning . . . and it heightens our appreciation and the preciousness of family. Life has many definitions of family also called community. We need to say to you how much, you as part of our family, are appreciated and loved, and we don't want to miss any opportunity to say …

18DEC2012 Tuesday's Escapade: Chasing the Red Dragon

A couple of days ago we talked about Birds of Prey seen here at Sandy Beach. . . also known as Raptors. Well, the bird has been identified as an Osprey . . . We actually see them everyday on the top of poles or in the trees . . .

Our day started out pretty normal . . . whatever …

I admit, I borrowed the following paragraph from Jil & Mike's blog... but it shares my feeling on doing this daily..."Before getting into the blog I want to be clear on one thing, OK? I will not be making entries on this blog every day while here in the desert. Some of our kids get nervous when they don't receive an …

A quiet park before new years

this park has about 220 spaces, all with power, water, and sewer connections.... the water isn't purified so it shouldn't be drank... however after 12 days we've used it to shower, and in cooking when brought to a boil without a problem...

This time of the year we are one of 12 units in the whole park, with New Years just around the corner I'm told that this park will fill up... we're out of here on the 27th of Dec so will miss the rush...

We've had our share of motorcycle, quads, and side by sides running through the park and to be honest it hasn't been a problem...

We're on Sandy Beach and part of """The Reef Resort"" and are happy enough with the place to return...
