Green and Blue!

I don't think it's any coincidence that the most relaxing colors are green and blue and those are the colors God chose to make the colors of the scenery here in the north. We saw plenty of both as we drove east of North Bay through rocky and heavily wooded terrain. The sun was shining and the blue sky reflected in the many lakes, ponds and rivers made the contrasting greens all the more beautiful.

... We were hoping for a high temp of around 58, but it never got there, staying around 52 degrees.

Today we have planned a shorter trip further east to Mattawa near Quebec. We initially planned to ride a loop north from North Bay into Quebec and back but it would be an all day ride of nearly 300 miles with no time to stop and enjoy the sights. Thus the shorter trip east.

Another uneventful flight to Toronto. Once there, we certainly felt let down. Since there is no first class on the Toronto-North Bay flight, we had several hours to kill sitting on ordinary airport chairs.

Here I am. I've arrived in the town of Temiskaming Shores, formerly New Liskeard, Ontario.

The photos show my ancestral home :) and me inside said home. I went for a ride later that evening for coffee at my good friend Jennifer's house. I was also re-introduced to Jason, another friend from University.
