Our last stop has been Gatlinburg, TN. We enjoyed our visit to the Dixie Stampede and Dollywood. Jim looked all over the place, high and low but never saw Dolly! We ran into the Compton's from Lexington who happened to be here too. We enjoyed having dinner together with Ben, Suzanne, Charlie and Nancy. It was nice to have friends to enjoy a meal with again.

This past weekend, I headed to the mountains to see High Falls on West Fork Tuckaseegee River. August 22 would be the last time this year that Duke Energy would be opening the dam on Lake Glenville for a whitewater release. Sandy had to work this weekend, so I headed out solo. through spider webs, past a dodgy trailer park, over fist sized rocks
which could twist an ankle and the Falls ended up to be a township
and maybe a small river area with no obvious waterfall and not a
beautiful place to stop and admire nature. Child whining averted! It
rained a lot all day so we spent time in the RV and activities area
