... last until our return. We had the weekend to sort out the house and pack and then the first leg of our journey to the airport, kindly chauffeured by Ian, followed by a long flight to our first stop in Singapore. For Olivia and Martha Spike is so very excited about his first long journey, he is so pleased to be travelling with Nanny and Grandad who seem to know what they are doing. Spike did notice however that Uncle Ian did the automatic check in as Grandad seemed a little ...

It will be 50 pounds so I think we have decided we will carry it on the plane with us. After ...

Successfully navigated the Tube this morning. Luckily it was school holidays and there wasn't much of a crowd. As warned by Pam, the electronic destination board had no bearing whatever on where the actual train was going, so we followed a local's advice and jumped on anyway. Got to Earls Court and, now, following Jo's instructions we simply crossed the platform, got on a waiting train, sat down and about 3 or 4 stops later got off at Westminster. I still ...

A lovely laid back day

... to leave it to the last day. There were people everywhere, and we had arrived pretty early. Still we got a reasonable view. I was very pleased with the zoom on my camera!

Standing in one place, crammed up against other people is not much fun, so we decided to try a coffee at the Hard Rock Cafe, the original one. When we got there it became apparent that it was not really a coffee place. I picked up on the vibe pretty quickly, so ...
