        ... at the Lucky Moose here in Walker. The food was great and the bike is hopefully fixed for good. Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy, cold, and windy. Yeah! love the diversity of a good adventure. Marilyn is not happy...but she is going to be a trooper or maybe she will be calling a relative to pick her up. Stay tuned... and see if Marilyn makes it to Lake Bemidji State ...

        I was always jealous of Nigel's last trip to the states because he got to spend the first chunk of his visit up at a friends family cabin. Every picture I received filled me with jealousy.         We woke up this morning to find a haze over the lake. This haze started around Tuesday, and seems to be getting a bit thicker each day. The cause? Forest fires up north in Saskatchewan. We normally see blue skies, big puffy white clouds, or thick heavy storm clouds.
