... wagging their tails and knocking into things. The town celebrated his centennial in 1999. A couple of the buildings we saw today may be about that old, not sure. Anyway it was a nice drive.
On the way back down, we saw some wild turkeys, some cows and horses, but no bear or deer. We were in the Lincoln National Forest and on the Mescalero Apache Reservation just about the whole time.

After dinner we came back "home" and now Bob is sleeping on the couch while COPS plays on the TV and I am finishing up this blog.
Did not take any pictures today since we didn't go anywhere. Tomorrow the plan is to drive UP to Cloudcroft, hopefully it won't rain tomorrow. It's supposed to rain tonight, but so far nothing.

I don't care what Camping World says, somehow water comes in under the living slide! It rained while we were out and when we returned, I stepped in a puddle. Before we went to bed, I raised the foot of the recliner and put a clean, dry towel down, then his morning, the towel was wet! Not sure if it's running down the side, hitting the rail and coming in or what, but we'll do it again ...
... I did not realize that BEN HUR was as old as it is. He completed the writing in 1881! Our country has such interesting stories, too bad I can't live long enough to visit and see all the very interesting places. After leaving Lincoln, we continued through the countryside to US 70 and back to Ruidoso. We arrived back "home" about 3 pm and relaxed for a bit.
