... Pole Pine trees. EVERYWHERE. We certainly enjoyed the drive, we had no choice but to keep going. No where to turn around a 36 ft. RV, pulling a "toad." So......that makes 70 miles the wrong way.
Getting back on the right road "Big Bend Scenic Byways" in the heart of Franklin County's oyster industry. Costal Highway 98 is lined with oyster shucking houses and retail seafood ...

Wonderful day of walking dogs and exploring the area. We had some sun today and it did hit around 70, the water was pretty smooth and lovely clouds floated by on a gentle breeze. Refreshing. ... I must get her to tell all. Bob arrived for coffee by 8:30am and we said our good byes or "see ya laters". We couldn't convince him to stay until the weather alerts stopped and he chose to ignore them and off he went! It turned out to be a quiet day of getting ready for tomorrow's travel to St. Andrews. Overcast and quite chilly outside gave me a chance to get emails done and blog ...

... I am glad that we had the opportunity to stop there. We have decidedly become non-city people but Asheville is a place that I would really like to visit again. It was full of art, music and a great diversity of people. We were actually in Asheville for their Christmas Parade, in fact we were trapped by it so we just settled in for the show. What was really cool about being in a city for it's Santa parade is that you get to see a great cross section of a city's ...
