    ... the sister of Rome's last emperor. It is tiny but contains some beautiful mosaics. The story goes that Cole Porter came there and walked in from the bright sunlight into the dark interior and got the inspiration for the song "Night & Day".     ... how long it took to make these with such precise detail. They are said to be the best Byzantine mosaics outside of Turkey.
    They have been preserved really well and are still shimmering and glittering in all their glory.

    ... to do anything tourist, either did Jess and Ben. We had a nice late lunch in view of the main cathedral. We asked the our server where we could go that was not full of tourist. He suggested Piazza Santo Spirito. We decided,we would walk to Piazza Michelangelo to see the sunset. The plaza is on top of a hill that over looks Florence.
