Wonders of Nature

A travel blog entry by suegoeswest

We were up and dressed, then suddenly realized we were still tired ..and still a bit wobbly from our ordeal yesterday. The temperature was in the 70s all day, and almost no wind. The clouds were huge and fluffy and they seemed to just sit on the horizon.

We headed toward town, directly to a car wash. All that snow and rain and road dust …

Up and away from RV park in Colorado Springs by 8:45AM. Google indicated we could cover 462 miles to Moab UT in 6 hour and 30 minutes. Well, obviously, no one took into consideration that we were at 6000 feet elevation, climbed to over 11,500 and had to get through the Overland Pass Tunnel on I-70. There was a snow shower most of an hour, and going …

We head towards Dead Horse State Park first and it's a beautiful drive. According to one legend, the point was once used as a corral for wild mustangs …

We arrived the same time as 2 other large rigs. Nonetheless, we were processed and parked and comfortable within 40 minutes. Good WiFi and excellent cable TV connection.
