Well we pulled out of the campground at 8:20 to an accident on the main road. Because we had to turn left and they were down to 1 lane we had to wait 15 minutes before we could leave. Crossed over the Mississippi at Baton Rouge. We have seen it many times in various places but here I know what they mean by the muddy Mississippi. What a long day. We made a stop in Mineola, Texas . . . in what appeared to be a bit of a worn out town. I snapped a picture . . . with three stores on a main street . . . "Vintage Charm," "Taste of Italy," and an old hotel "Beckham Hotel Coffee Shoppe!" They have a certain 'charm,' but I doubt it is everyone's cup of tea (or coffee!).

Our first time at this Thousand Trails park, about an hour and a half northeast of Dallas. It's pretty much the middle of nowhere, but really a relaxing place to spend a week or so, with our site backing right up to the water, and views of incredible sunsets every night.
