... too different from typical 'Brits abroad' holiday resorts in the south of Spain, so I was really hoping that the beach would make up for it. I'm sorry to say that it didn't. It was a nice enough beach, but nothing more. Not at all the white sand, palm tree lined exotic paradise that I was expecting. Brushing our disappointment aside, we turned our attention to getting ready for the night ahead, stopping off to buy the essential neon tops ...

Got all that sorted out pretty quickly, met a lovely girl ...

Lots of treehouses and wooden bridges and although it didn't have a beach there was an amazing infinity pool and steps into the rocks that led right down into the coral..we checked in the next morning! Without a doubt one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, our room alone was fantastic! The room was built straight into the rock and we had a huge deck and our own pool looking out over the sea. I'd definitely ...

Week 1 - Making the best of a bad situation

... who has been to Thailand and has heard bull frogs know how horrendous they sound. It was literally like sleeping with mooing cows outside my room. To make it worse when the sun came up they stopped but then apparently there are also roosters outside my room. Needless to say I did not get much sleep! Also I've found that now I'm on my own, I keep waking up and wondering where I am, It really freaks me out and takes me a while to think about everything and to adjust to ...
