Camped at an amazing river in Ocala. The water was amazingly clear. Only a short drive to Santos trailhead and miles of awesome singletrack.
Can you believe this? We are in Ft. Lauderdale to start our cruise tomorrow, and the very first thing I did when I got here was drop the bag that had my laptop and my CAMERA in it! On the pavement! You know how I am about my camera. I think they are both OK, but if the pictures I take on the trip aren't that great, I'm on record as having a good excuse. ;)
For the fourth time, I'm going on a "trip of a lifetime" to Europe, but this time I'm taking the long way. No girls trip this time. This time there will be no gelato or pastry lunches. It's guaranteed that I will be having three squares a day because my traveling companion this time is my hubby. Why the long way, though? John has been adamant about not wanting to go to Europe--EVER! ("Too much to see in the States.") ...

SALT SPRINGS RECREATION AREA
Honestly, there's not much to do here. If you love to swim, the Springs are cold (72 degrees) & clear & amazing. But otherwise, not much else. There's a hiking trail that's about a mile through the woods. The campsites have full hookups; some are under trees, some are not. That's my report.
