5 p.m. - Did not make it to the castle today. Came home and took a nap! Carrie had a business supper in the hotel and took a short walk, then came back to our room. We are having trouble with the converter plug to charge her camera. Carrie, Kaye and I went out to snap a few pictures before supper.

... checked out the casino, and had a bit of a look at some churches. Tired and hungry, we sat down for a meal at what we thought looked like a fairly Swedish restaurant. The food was fantastic and much cheaper than anything you could find in Denmark. While we were eating our meals and drinking locally brewed beer, it got dark and the city seemed to transform. ... natured, happy place. I would come back anytime and I would suggest anyone visit it. It was different than Russia, because I feel like I "learned" more in Russia culturally and educationally. Denmark was more of a fun time, I saw a lot of things, but I also spent a lot of time just walking around and enjoying the city (and shopping). Anyway, now it's on to Antwerp, Belgium. I can't wait :) Now I have to go do homework! (It's not only a trip, it's also school, don't forget!)

... IKEA for some cheap food and to look at very Swedish furniture. We found this cool bed that had a wood frame, but was covered in a foam and sort of felt-like material. So many of the beds that have low frames are wooden and me being so clumsy is very dangerous to have around. I would bump into it every 5 seconds if given the chance. So something soft with no hard corners is a godsend. And plus it is always fun to look at stuff.

... to the final. After the growing pains of learning the new boat they were able to take first in both of their semifinal qualifier while racing in the Pro Marina boat. Which was pretty sweet to watch happen. It was funny in a sense because some teams were matching down to their socks in outfits and had practice before on this boat prior to race day and Lomma 1 was one rag tag squad wearing an assortment of gear and ...

... vegemite jars and tea bags flying all over the shop :-/ We saw the showiest and over elaborate campervan in our caravan park. Anyway, Assistens Kirkegaard is just across the road from me and I've given it it's own enrty here as I think it's quite a beautiful and calming place through which to amble (or saunter, or swagger depending on your preferred foot travel) ABSOLUTELY NO MEANDERING THOUGH! ... and make our way from Malmo (Sweden!) to Roskilde where we were working but no one had told us how we were supposed to get there and there was one bus a day that left from the airport that went to Copenhagen but we missed that because our flight was delayed. So when we worked out which country we had actaully arrived in we gradually made our way into Copenhagen. ... and we loved walking up and down it daily. 3. Rosenborg Palace - We spent most of Saturday afternoon in the Kongens Have (King's Gardens) surrounding this palace that contains the crown jewels. We loved the idyllic setting in the center of the city. The palace itself was lovely as well. 4. The Little Mermaid - actually not that impressive, and smaller than I thought, it is one of the things, like Tivoli, that you have to do in Copenhagen. The walk there ...
