... lions etc. The fact the lions stay on their rocks rather than eating the gazelles running about nearby suggests it isn't open land at all - just cleverly constructed hidden enclosures, but still it is nice to see. More exciting are the Dinosaur ride (simulator ride going back in time) and Everest ( a roller coaster where you go backwards to avoid the Yeti), Obviously when I referred to the rides being loosely connected to animals, I meant very loose indeed. ...

... With coffee in hand we went to a keynote session about the 'backstory' (the history- in English) of Magnet status; we are really starting to look like we fit in now, especially as we've pimped our ID badges with the conference ribbons. Vintage Cadillac-Lasalle's & Eldorado's cruising up and down the strip with their convertible tops down. Fantastic movie billboards and shops lining the sunlit streets that are filled with happy people, tipping their fedoras or straw panama hats to ladies that pass by, enjoying the beautiful California weather & soaking up the sunshine!

... pigs. Inside was an animal hospital, and we saw lots of amazing animals in there (Ben and Ange and I went all around the windows and saw them all, John and Matty watched a movie). We saw tarantulas, a siren salamander, the fattest Burmese python, and lots of interesting critters. Time to go, so we headed home, had a swim and a BBQ and off for a good sleep again. One thing about the resort - it is so quiet and dark at night, especially with the blackout curtains in all ...

Day 9: Gatorland and Downtown Disney

A travel blog entry by gamergl on Apr 06, 2013

... Zipline adventure, I believe it was 5 ziplines al together. Mathew loved it and wasn't scared at all, went first almost every time, even on the 70 foot zip. Jess and I saw a gator wrestling show and took the train around the park and had fun too. We'll have to go back when she's older to do some zip lining too! Gatorland took about 2-3 hrs and then we were done. So after that we decided to kill some time and hit Disney Quest. Mathew and Tracy had ...
