... American and patriotic, which I think us Brits could take a leaf from. We're always too humble and stoic about our engineering, when really we should be shouting about it from the rooftops. Although a Dyson vacuum probably isn't as much of an engineering feat as the Space Shuttle.

As the film drew to a close the doors of the cinema room opened and we were presented with the awesome sight of the space shuttle Atlantis. I'm not afraid to ...

Saturday - Wendy at conference all day so Bill had to make his own entertainment for the day. Picked up from hotel at 8.15 by transport company and driven 40 minutes to Wild Florida Airboat & Wildlife Park. Feels a little strange and off putting driving on the wrong side of the road. Then we went back to our hotel and had a swim. The pool was huge and had waterguns that you could squirt people with and play equipment. I made a friend from California and we threw a beach ball to each other. And then after a while we watched a Harry Potter movie on the big screen in the pool. We stayed in the pool until nearly 10pm.

... shortbread cream on top. By the afternoon, Harry Potter World was pretty crowded but even so, we still managed to do the ride a couple of times.

After a full day of walking around, we went out for dinner at Applebee's and it was really good. The ambience was great and the food was tasty and cheap compared to back home. It was only $62 for all of us for drinks and meals plus tip. Still, we couldn't get dinner out for that price at home.

... at shows and on rides to allow us oldies to cope. The heat and humidity has been a challenge at times as was one afternoon when a storm and downpour hit for a couple of hours. Still we soldiered on wet and all! Food: Breakfast took a couple of days to figure out best options but generally worked OK. Started sharing cereal packs and milk (thanks Al) Our dining plan gave us a quick service counter style lunch which differed in content only by park, area and restaurant ...
