... was a great ride. I had a much more fun ride than yesterday; we all did. I think it was probably a mixture of having rode it once and also that we were on the inside for much of the ride today so I know at least that I wasn't as nervous. We stopped at the overlook at almost the end going North and met a great guy that had come over from New Zealand to ride. He flew to Atlanta and drove up and was headed back there now. He said he loves our roads and his wife and he did Rte 66 a ...

... were a number of twisty passes and challenging exciting riding to I-81. The pictures tell the story. In Pigeon forge, what once was a cow path is a busy honkytonk of amusement and hotel/motel/restaurants and fun. Dolly World isn't even visible from the main drag. I will have to come back to actually check it out.

We were going to check out one of the whisky places, but there was no parking to be had anywhere. They did have occasional pay lots here and there, but I didn’t need to see it that bad. It was just too busy for our liking. We just kept on going, well stopping and going, that is. Yep, you guessed it, more traffic.

The visitor center for the park was not too far from the park entrance ...

... out until I got rid of them. I have no idea what they were, but there were a bunch of them. I gave them a Raid shower and that seemed to help. Once we got the coach set up I started writing the blog. These late nights are starting to get old.

Cheryl headed to the laundry to wash some bigger items and the towels from the morning disaster. No reason to have our machine running all day to get everything done so it was easier to use the full ...

    A Day in Gatlinburg

... have fallen asleep. As we continued to wander down the main street of Gatlinburg I reminded Jerry that we were going downhill, meaning that we would be going uphill going back to the car. At that point we decided to turn around!

We got back to the car and then came on back to the RV. We rested, freshened up and took off to see the Day of Elijah. For some odd reason we had to be there at 5:00 but ...
