    ... before shapes on the dance floor and stumbled home and had great difficulty getting the key in the door. Not surprisingly we slept like logs until midday the next day.

    My vote is Cape Cod over Martha's Vineyard. MV is really quaint and all of the houses look like they are made from Ginger Bread though I just didn't like the overall vibe. Cape Cod seemed much more laid back, eclectic and real.

    Summary

    Drove 112 miles in 1.5 hours.

    Highlights

    I had no idea that Cape Cod was this close to Boston, it was a very easy and fast drive. I'm sure that in high season the route we took would be clogged up, however we had it almost to ourselves.

    It was sunny though not hot enough for a swim in the ocean, so the locals were saved from that sight for another day. We stayed in West Dennis which is about the dead centre of the ...

    ... though N was so cold afterwards that his mouth & hands were blue and he was chattering/shivering for quite a while. Poor baby! We took him home and gave him chicken soup and read books under blankets for a while. I made kabobs for dinner while T tried to entertain N for hours on end. It was a little stressful and in retrospect we wished they had left the house and gone somewhere!
    After bedtime, we talked about ate popcorn. We haven't felt awake ...
