After a relaxed morning we set off in the car to Niagara Falls. The journey took about an hour and was good apart from terrible weather. Heavy rain and poor visibility meant we were not looking forward to seeing the falls today!

As the rain eased we though we might go to Niagara-on-the-Lake stopped at the Information Centre for brochures bought a Adventure Pass to four attractions Journey beyond the Falls, Niagara Fury short movie, Maid of the Mist and Whit Water Walk. While there took some money out of the ATM as where we are going to stay (Pat's Country Home) she wants cash.

Drove from Niagara Falls to Toronto today via Niagara on the Lake with a stop at Fort George, where we saw muskets drills being practiced, fifes and drums being played, artillery shot. We toured the officers barracks with a very knowledgeable young man who told us a great story about broken dinner set, buried out back of the barracks, with 21 port bottles......... Good morning everyone!

We had a good day of travel yesterday. There were only a few bumps, like missing our turn and scrambling to find a gas station before we ran out of gas, but other than that, the day was very pleasant.

Zay got an ipod mp3 player for his birthday so he gets to enjoy music along the way.
