After checking out the other campgrounds in the area we chose to stay here because of the price. The campground is only about a block away from the KOA and is $40.00 cheaper. The place was very clean and tidy. They have a swimming pool, playground area and treed for good amount of shade. You are only 10 to 15 mins from the falls and it is a straight drive there.

Started out early and again drove through wonderful scenery and more towns with heritage homes. Lots of Upstate NY was founded in the late 1700's so it has lots of historic areas and downtown sections.

We arrive at the border and took the Rainbow bridge into Canada ( it is the only way) and paid our last toll they are good at collection …

... by car, don't park in the 'official' lot nearest the falls and pay $10, there are a couple of car parks just over the road which are only $5 all day. These are highlighted by the attendants waving flags around trying to get your attention. After looking at the view from the US side and taking some pics, we headed out to the observation deck and then down the lift to get on the Maid of the Mist. Donning the blue poncho we boarded the boat and ...

They ask all sorts of questions, where are you coming from, is it a hire car, where we have just been, when are we leaving, where are we staying, do we have any alcohol or cigarettes, do we have any firearms or explosives....... We got sent through with no dramas at all! So we have arrived at or Niagara Falls hotel!! We pulled in and unloaded our ...

... for the day. We retired back to the hotel and Rich played with the pictures that we took and I had a nap.

For dinner we walked along the main road and had a pizza. Nothing special but we were not that hungry.

We are watching the various colors of the Falls with a full moon, just spectacular. Soon there will be
fireworks, but we are betting that we can view them from our room.
