After some slight problems with the GPS directions, we found ourselves at Niagara-on-the-Lake. The 'historic township' was very quaint. Boxes of brightly colored flowers hung from the verandas of weatherboard houses. Horse and carts took tourists for rides along the main street, and souvenir shops were buzzing with activity. ... a boat and managed to get a pretty good spot, on the top right at the front. This was a great way to see the Falls up close and I would definitely recommend it, but really do take people seriously when they say that you get wet! We got our first glimpse of the falls about 10.30pm as we crossed over the border into Canada.
