... to the Upper falls which are quite pretty with the different colours showing up in the water. A short drive to the Lower falls and a longer walk to see a series of cascades - again quite pretty. We did our exercise on the steps at the falls - about 100 at the first and closer to 200 at the second.

Drove to Paradise to find a room for the night. It is a very small spot on the map and not much bigger when we got there but there were 3 hotels/motels ...

... day of riding, sunny and partly-sunny skies. Stopped at the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan to take some pictures; absolutely gorgeous out!

Made it to Paradise, Michigan after 508.5 miles on the road.

Staying at Corkey's motel tonight. Got a cabin on the water with a fireplace and a great view.

Dinner at the local small eatery down the road from Corkey's. Not so great.

Up and on the road to breakfast at 0700 hours tomorrow morning!

... waters and a few years back the museum worked with the Canadian Navy and their state-of-the-art dive equipment to retrieve the bell from the Edmund Fitzgerald and replace it with a memorial bell listing the crew’s names as a form of closure for the families of those who perished. There is a film on the recovery and memorial service which is very moving. They actually have a separate building dedicated to the Edmund Fitzgerald with features on crew ...

... Bear Farm-bears that were rescued-mother dies, etc. Quirky place. Nice big areas for the adult bears but little cubs in large enclosure with just cement floors (owner said that the cement floors were mandated while the cubs were young). Owner was quite a character.
