This site is located just north of San Francisco so it's at a premium location. It is a "Resort" designated KOA and it's huge. It has lots of things to do, and keep kids amused. It's quite spread out and they have added washrooms/showers throughout the property but I'm a long walk from the store/office should I need anything. It's well maintained, the folks appear friendly, and the layout is nice with a tiered area to allow for some views of the surrounding hills. It's also expensive, almost twice as much as I usually pay at a usual "Traveller" KOA.

This was mostly a driving day, but what a drive! We finally hit the scenic part of the coast and got to experience the scary driving we were told about. The road literally runs right along side of the cliffs and at some points you are right at the top of a high cliff with only the sea below. The …

Today I failed as a blogger and a photographer. But I survived so that makes me a great driver and proves I can put the priorities in the right place occasionally.

I have never been so challenged as a driver in my life. And I do a LOT of driving. Without hauling a trailer, the section of Hwy 101, Pacific Coast …

Made our way out of Ft. Bragg and wound our way down the 101 to Petaluma. Petaluma is a place I use to camp back in the 70's when I use to stay in the bay area for a month or so in the summer. Back in the day I camped at a KOA in Petaluma, but I don't think it was this place.

Anyway, we setup camp and made our way out for dinner.

After we arrived and settled, we drove into Santa Rosa to see if we could find the rest of the team. We left a message at the hotel and then went to the rink. One of the guys got the message and called to say that most of the guys were out at a winery golf course and that they would probably be late. Not good news as Ron is here to play hockey and …

... it is very cold and has rained all day. Remind you of any particular Aussie state???..

We headed back to Nash parents packed the car and said our final goodbyes and headed back to Nash and Jen's place for our last two nights in America, (our 6 weeks nearly over, I guess i should become a typical nagging wife now, & Glenn a grumpy old man?? ha ha). Anyway back to our day. Our drive back started out lovely, I even manage ...
