    ... traffic lights, here people stand in the sweltering heat (95F) holding signs with one side "slow" and the other side "stop". It took a bit longer to get to the beach, but we had enough protection with us to keep us from getting sunburnt.     Finally the day has come where our trip "officially" starts. Up at 4am, well, me anyway, Barry will always try to catch a few extra winks. Bags are packed, car is packed and we are ready for our two hour drive to Miami, where we will return the car and check in for our 10:20 am flight.     Heading to Ft. Myers!! Left Saturday evening around 8:00 PM. It is just starting to rain. Now it is like a downpour! Rained all night. Arrived at the Florida Welcome Center!
