Well Stan got the plumbing fixed. Good to be handy and able to do that in a shopping centre parking lot.
We went back to the strip for more walking around and a bit of gambling. Go figure.

Ret'd to the campground, me to go do some more gambling Stan to watch tv. Stan has a cold and is not feeling too well

Well we made our decision to go to Vegas. Drove the scenic route . Lots of desert, drove through Joshua Tree forest which is endless Joshua cacti. What is truly amazing is that where ever you look you see a house or a trailer set up. Not sure how or why these people live in the middle of the desert. some have hydro lines, some don't. Well we had coffee at McD's but they didn't have wifi so that lets them out for future business. We took the shuttle and went to downtown Vegas. As luck would have it, streets were closed for the Martin Luther King parade - not sure if it their holiday for him or what - have to research it later. Visited the casinos, saw a couple of new ones open …

... red eye" flight, we elected to take a side trip as we crossed back into Nevada and visit the Valley of Fire State Park about an hour north of Las Vegas and about 20 miles from I-15. Larry had visited here once before (maybe 19 years ago) but Rox had never seen it. Just like at Bryce, we didn't have the strong "directional" light that would have made photos take on some significant texture and contrast but we still managed to enjoy 3+ hours in the park ...

... a drive around Beverly hills and sunset boulevard followed by the exciting trip up the hollywood hills to the great Hollywood sign, I didn’t think I’d be standing there taking a selfie 6 months ago!!

We also had to go via the Hollywood walk of fame and check out the stars on the pavement as well as all the street artists, musicians and madness galore :-)
