This KOA is about as close as you can get to camping in the large city of Salt Lake. It is conveniently located right next to a light rail stop. You can ride into town and then explore on your own or for free using the in-town transportation system.

The cost of the campsites is high for the amenities you are getting. But, clearly you are paying for the location. The facility is a bit worn down looking. The site we had was fine. I saw other sites that were not as nice or roomy.

Lastly, the WiFi sucks. Either provide a usable WiFi connection or don't provide one at all. Just don't "check the box" and offer a useless product.

I woke up this morning after a good night's sleep. The KOA campground I stayed at was pretty nice. I went into the little store and got a snack for the morning and took off. I was pretty tired from the long ride yesterday. You wouldn't think sitting on a motorcycle would make you tired but its more work than you think. You have to constantly make …

We headed out a day early because of the colder temps and possibility of sleet and snow. I was concerned we couldn't make it over some of the mountain passes between the Teton Range and Salt Lake City. Good thing too, because we met plenty of snow over a couple of passes but the roads were not covered yet, as the temps were not forecast to get …

Spent two weeks at Salt Lake City. First settled by the Mormons (Latter Day Saints) in 1847 of which over 40% of todays population are still.
In the heart of the city is Temple Square, 35 acres first developed by building the Temple on their arrival. They then added over the years 16 more buildings to make up todays Temple Square.

Today we needed to get an early start, as we had to make the 330-mile drive to Salt Lake City, not knowing how the wind conditions would be just North of Salt Lake City. We made good time and there was hardly any winds.

We all were sad to leave the beautiful area with lots of impressions in our memories, knowing that slowly but surely our …
