Afternoon Showers
We spent about four nights in Ko Phangan before we headed to Ko Tao, a two hour boat ride north of Ko Phangan. Ko Phangan was incredibly muggy and hot while we were there and though our resort was situated on a large hill there was still very little breeze. We rented motor bikes pretty much everyday we were there since taking a cab was just as much …
Chapter 4: The Rollercoaster Begins
The first few days on Ko Tao were superb. Definitely the most beautiful place I have been to both Thailand and anywhere else. Sairee beach is simply stunning - white sand and crystal clear water with palm trees over hanging.
My good friend Richard was already on Ko Tao, so met up with him and a Thai girl he had met called Noi for dinner …
The Return
Packing the bags in the morning I noticed that we both had great smiles on our faces, we knew we were going back to Koh Tao, and back to Scuba Junction. I didn't think that I would do any backtracking on this trip, but the opportunity to go back to Koh Tao was just too tempting. We had ordered a taxi for eleven to take us back to the Ferry port, as …
Lazing on a sunny afternoon
The morning dawned sunny and warm, and that meant one thing for Vicky, sunbathing. After a rather good buffet breakfast (actually, the breakfast was better than the food last night, pity that wasn't an option!) She happily disappeared down to the beach to top up her tan; every day ended was another day closer to her being back in England, so every …

TravelPod Member ReviewsSaireehut Resort Ko Tao
I stayed only one day, one night there for a very short stay in Koh Tao Islands. I stay basically two days and I decied to change the first hostel - seashell hostel - to Sairee hut Dive resort. The staff was very nice; very friendly and helpful. The room were clean [except that there are some ants in the room] and the bungalows are very comfortable. I would definitely suggest this hostel if you want to relax and stay in a nice environment. The swimming pool stays just on the beach and you can get a wonderful view of the beach and the sea from the swimming pool.I did not do diving but i think it is a good school to get the certificate!
