    We got up at 2:30 in the morning to start our EPIC road trip of a lifetime! Then we hit the road at 3:15 and it was smooth sailing to Chicago. Annalena had no problem sleeping for the majority of the drive, and the rest of the time she was happy and excited to be in the car. It was a great start to our trip.

    We left Emmett this morning in the rain but by the time we hit Flint it had stopped. We first came across a model boat race going on at Kelly Lake in Burton Town, outskirts of Flint.
