Today was a great day and a foody day. We heading south to Medford, OR and got a tour of the Hearing Dog School. They were great...yhey use only rescue dogs from the pound and train them as hearing dogs for deaf/hard-of-hearing people. Good Sam (national RV Group) is their biggest sponsor.

Then we headed over to Harry & Davids..the gift basket people. ...

After a long drive from California we arrived at Joe Creek Waterfalls RV Park just north of Grants Pass and we LOVE it here. It's quiet, rustic but clean and tidy, surrounded by trees and nature. And it's a beautiful, completely clear, nice warm day. They offer monthly rates here so this is definitely on my list for that. Today is our first full day and we're just relaxing, doing a bit of organizing (since Linda is traveling with me there's more "stuff" in the rig ...

... Gold Bluff Beach"....I tell Justin, they must be down there! Let's go! So we set out on an unpaved, uphill road in the Corolla.....this was maybe not my brightest idea, I admit.....but we kept going....it felt like 10 miles of unpaved rutted out narrow winding riad until we got to a kiosk to enter the park.....for which we waited in line and paid $8. We thought, this beach must be spectacular or else no one would make that drive. WRONG! LOL, it was surely nothing special and crowded ...

... place just beyond the tunnel that normally hadpsrk information and touristy stuff, but being Columbus Day it had already closed down for the season. Lucky for us this meant fewer "flatlanders" to deal with. Dad found the first big tree..his giant "woody," you know, Harold's son!!! Haha...hopefully Wissy, Pauline or Chris will read this to appreciate that one!
