... Lake book. Oh, he's a real photographer. For CL: "stop everywhere, do everything." Beyond the park, his recommendations provided a short-term roadmap for the trip, and the photography lessons opened up a new aperture for me. After a full day of exploring, we were in the gift shop looking at postcards. Nearby, I spotted a coffee-table style book - mostly photographs. ... that would rent us the gear and shuttle us to a spot above Hellgate (a deep canyon on the river). We got this 10 man raft that fit us all in it. (Todd, Lichin, Vonnie and I and 3 kids). We let the people know we were rookies and they put us in a class I and II stretch of the river. It was a great 7 mile run and we did get tossed around quite a bit. Took on plenty of water and all got soaked several times. So fun. ...
