      Day 2: Chicago, IL - Lake Itasca State Park, MN

      A lot of people have asked me if anyone is with me on vacation. No, but I'm not by my self.... I have CC and the polar vortex to keep me company.       ... to connect to New Orleans in February. Coming from the east you go through St. Paul first. We stuck to the I-94 and drove under the overpasses and through a tunnel, seeing the skyline and bits and pieces of the two cities which are some 10 miles apart but there is really no obvious break between the two (no wonder they merged as one). The signs do indicate population for each: St. Paul being just under 300,000 and Minneapolis just under 400,000. We ...
