      I did have more second thoughts but I only had to drive through the blizzard for another 60 miles. Needless to say, it was heavy snow and I went pretty slow, but I had a truck to follow and made it just fine. Once I crossed into Minnesota the roads were hit or miss.       ... re-route to seek the headwaters of the Mighty Mississippi River. We headed west but also north and landed just outside Walker, Minnesota for the night in a lovely campground. Minnesota is the state of 10,000 lakes according to most license plates - though I did see some newer looking ones proclaiming "critical habitat." And lakes there are; Walker is situated on a bay of Leech Lake. We will continue on tomorrow to seek the headwaters of the Mississippi.
