... snow and as a result is incredibly clear. It is also very deep- 1943 feet deep, to be precise and because of some very clever scientific thing to do with the colour spectrum, light waves and its depth which I won't bore you with, is an amazing blue. The lake is so breathtakingly beautiful that it entices you into taking hundreds of photographs that all look more or less the same and fail to do it justice. ... and headed through BC, but by then it was getting late. The border was very busy and we had a small wait in line but no problems getting through. The mountain pass was rainy and foggy and finally we decided to find a place to stay the night as it was just to far to Kamloops. We pulled off in Merritt and will have a shorter ride tomorrow night as we plan to stay in Jasper on our way to Grande Prairie.
That's it for tonight, no phone use now for about 10 days.

... you can tell the road has already took affect on me...I went a bit deep there. Anyway, we went through a security check point and almost had to surrender all our produce we managed to stuff into our pockets at the continental breakfast. Luckily the California Park Ranger had bigger fish to fry so they let us keep our snacks :) Soon after the checkpoint we went through a tunnel.
