Nice park in town. Old, but clean, and good position. Cheaper than ones at Cable Beach

Very busy site, but our pitch was quite generous by UK standards. The facilities were adequate and lovely to walk straight onto the beach from the van. There was a lovely covered childrens play/water area on the site. There was also a cafe selling food drinks and ice creams.

      Our Stay in Roebuck Bay

Service was excellent, the ladies at the desk, Debbie and Elaine were great.
There is no pre-booking service, just first come-first served basis-Interesting for those who want to take the chance.
If the weather is unusually bad (it was super windy during our stay) then the wind hits Roebuck Bay and therefore the park.
It is located close to the Water playground which is free entry and the kids love it!!
The park is old-style with alot of permanent vans/sites showing their age, but it was one of the cheaper parks to stay.

I would recommend the place, even for families.

Our neighbour in the park moved out this morning but not before giving us some tips on free camps to stay at / places to go. The grass doesn't grow under any ones feet here - as he left another van backed straight in. There are signs around saying NO PETS - $1000 fine - the new couple promptly set up and put there dog on a lead outside. When we …

      What a Pearler! Broome.

Next stop after Derby is Broome, an oasis of life and civilization after a long dry spell. Broome is a lovely little town, based around two main things - the pearling industry, and Cable Beach.

We pulled into town on a Saturday morning, and our first port of call was the market. This had all your generic …

Chris and I went into town to suss out the pearl boutiques as I decided I wanted a nice local pearl to wear on my necklace. The one we liked most was a $3000+ Paspaley Pearl, needless to say I went without!!! Haha. The most expensive thing we found was a $53,000 strand of huge pearls. Holy heck. Lunch at Zanders again (yum), then back to camp for …

After a much needed snooze we went to Zanders on Cable Beach for breakfast where we were all more than pleased with our meals. We then went for a drive up cable beach and had a good giggle at the oldies on the nudie beach!!! A quick stop at the shops for groceries then back to camp :)
