Nice park in town. Old, but clean, and good position. Cheaper than ones at Cable Beach

Plenty of Shade. The Amenities are OK. Right on Town beach and plenty of shops/pub.

Very busy site, but our pitch was quite generous by UK standards. The facilities were adequate and lovely to walk straight onto the beach from the van. There was a lovely covered childrens play/water area on the site. There was also a cafe selling food drinks and ice creams.

Our Stay in Roebuck Bay

Reviewed Jun 10, 2011

Service was excellent, the ladies at the desk, Debbie and Elaine were great.
There is no pre-booking service, just first come-first served basis-Interesting for those who want to take the chance.
If the weather is unusually bad (it was super windy during our stay) then the wind hits Roebuck Bay and therefore the park.
It is located close to the Water playground which is free entry and the kids love it!!
The park is old-style with alot of permanent vans/sites showing their age, but it was one of the cheaper parks to stay.

I would recommend the place, even for families.

De Grey River to Broome

A travel blog entry by dmas on Sep 23, 2016

Had a good chat in the morning to a guy in his RV who was doing a lap around Australia in the other direction to us. He was with his wife and two dogs and they were from Sydney. We headed off at 8.15am. A 530km day on the road to Broome across Sandfire Flats. Boring scenery but made good time to get to Broome by 3pm as it was very flat. We have now …

Our final full day in Broome - boo hoo...We have breakie at our favourite cafe again and the kids let off some steam at the nearby park. I catch up on work again this morning while Bill takes the kids to the local bird observatory. We all head out in the afternoon to the Malcolm Douglas Croc Farm. Malcolm is a local hero and was largely responsible …

Today we are up early to go on a Hovercraft Tour to see the dinosaur footprints. It's everyone's first time on a hovercraft and the sensation is just like floating. We fly out across the mudflats of Roebuck Bay while our guide gives us an interesting commentary of the area. We disembark on the far side of the bay and our guide shares the history of …

Our first morning in Broome is very relaxing. We all sleep in following our big driving day yesterday (although sleeping in means 7am). We have breakie and head into town to have a look around and re-familiarise ourselves with Broome. We book the car in for its repairs and arrange a rental from our wonderful friends at Thrifty. We have an afternoon …

Day 51 - Imintji to Broome via Derby

Today due to popular demand we head back to Bell Gorge this morning after packing up camp. It's a beautiful day and we do some exploring further down the gorge and of course the kids find a taller rock to jump off. We finally drag them away late morning and drive into Derby. It's a relief to hit bitumen again although we still have no range. We …
