        Hi, Slow start to day as we had to take the 2 D's to airport. Denise sugested 11 am so that was ok. Said our good byes and went back to pick up van.Got hooke up and left around 11:30 for a aprox 3hr drive. Had some snacks with us so just drove. Got to Rock Springs around 2:15.
        Office closed, only open between 8 and 10am and again 3 to 5 pm. …

        We enjoyed our tour of the Stanley Hotel on Friday. Our guide had many stories of strange happenings at the hotel over the years, especially in room 217 where Stephen King stayed.         Today is the first day that we will visit one of the girls’ namesakes - Auburn, WY. It is going to be a very different drive today as we will be mainly on secondary roads. Auburn is a very small village off the beaten path so no freeways for us today.

        ... so we got on to I80 and headed for Rock Springs. We saw some very interesting clouds and skies along the way, especially around Elk Mountain. Continuing across, we actually saw some sunshine, then right back into rain. It is getting warmer, though. Even at 6975 feet, it is 53F.
