Monday...we leave surprising Chicago and heard north around the bay to the beautiful city on Lake Michigan, Milwaukee, home of the baseball team, the Brewers. We go to Miller Park and make our way into the stadium to our reserved seats right behind the home plate where we see every ball as the umpire sees it. The visit with Dave at his Univ. of Northern Iowa Wesley Foundation went really well. We got one card out of it (a young man named Jordan) but I feel may get more down the road. There were some seniors present this evening but a lot of juniors as well. ... pleased at our campsite. It overlooks what I think is the Cedar River. It is beautiful and very calming. I noticed that the trees seem different here too. Many of them are more vine-like or seem limp. Like semi-stiff shoestrings. But in the mist of bendy trees would be massive and wide trees. I really like these trees. The bark has deep grooves in it looks thick. We took a brief stroll to explore the area after we set up the tent and ate dinner. ...
