... Detroit. There was so much construction we couldn't really get to the arch or back on the freeway...needless to say, been there done that, don't need to do it again. Pulled into Sikeston at 5pm. ... tyre up. They charged me 75 cents to use the air pump! Repeat. THEY CHARGED ME 75 CENTS TO USE THE AIR PUMP! Last time I looked air was free. We had the coins, but that's not the point, they made me pay to pump up a tyre. Arseholes.

It's pronounced "New MAD-rid" not “New Muh-DRID”, by the way. I found that out when we stopped by the local grocery store to find out if they had a laundromat in town. “In New MAD-rid? Ohhhh no, we do not. We used to have two, but the owner up and sold them a couple of years back. Your best bet is Sikeston.” Sigh…Sikeston is 18 miles away in the same direction we just came from.
