Day 6

A travel blog entry by bridgetf

Another lovely day. Managed to get on the road by 10.00am this morning, even though we were aiming for 9.30am. Time just seems to get sucked up when you are on holiday. Our first stop was at the entrance of the RV park. There was a big tree called the Eternal Tree because it had survived a lightning strike, a loggers axe, a forest fire and a flood and it was still growing strong, The next stop was the ...

We woke this morning to fog over the valley in the valley and sun shining over the hill. After another swim we left at 10.20am. From there we headed north to the redwoods. Stopping at the Chandelier Drive -thru tree for lunch and a play. The kids were more interested in playing with a pile of dirt than seeing the majestic tree. ...

There we got out and got to see a bunch of tree houses that people lived in! That was really neat to see them all suspended in air and connected by bridges. After the walk around there we went back ...

Avenue of the Giants

This morning we awoke at the Seven Feathers campground, sad that we could not stay longer. This was truly an incredible campground with smooth curbing, lush grass areas between sites, and beautiful flowers. Oh well, we must move on.

After getting fuel, we headed south on I-5 to Grant's Pass where we took Hwy. 199 toward California. A couple at the pool last night told us about some neat tree houses that we should see, so we ...
