In fact it inspired us to put on our running gear and go for a quick jog on the beach. With all the best intentions Carla's run turned out to be a little quicker then expected as it turns out that her pregnancy and running don't seem to mix well together ( I'm still a bit suspicious about this but Carla is standing by ...

All missed because it was dark and late. :( I guess I'll have to come back for that too...Oh well. What's traveling without a little adversity!

Tonight is my last night in California, off to Oregon tomorrow! And I'll write another post tomorrow morning about what did all day today that made me so stinkin late...

... employed during a slump in the timber industry, the mansions towers and turrets, columned porches, multiple gables and ornate gingerbread detail - not to mention the paint job - evoke many people's ideal of how a Victorian should look. It is now a Gentleman's Club and still has the character of old.

Getting onto our accommodation, I have to say the Humboldt Bay Inn is the most efficient and friendly I have come across.
