... 30 miles from the Minnesota border staying at the Turtle Lake, WI RV Park which is on Route 8. It's nothing fancy at all, but good enough for us. There's a nice breeze, it got sunny and best of all, NO MOSQUITOS!!!! By the time we touched down on solid land again Mike was white knuckled and sweating. I was absolutely silent. That doesn't happen very often.
The rain and wind finally let up around 11:00 or so. We stopped for lunch at a restaurant and while there asked the people next to us if they could recommend a campground to stay in. They sent up back up highway 53 to Northwood Shores.

A beautifully paved bike path for 30 miles through lakes and hills climbing slowly out of the Mississippi River valley. Minnesota is the most bike friendly state I have visited; I have ridden more than 150 miles of bike path nowhere near roads, seeing sights only visible from the path.
