Day 12: 21 miles (Bahahahaha.. just thinking about that mileage sets a deep ache into my feet)
This day was the most exciting of the entire trip. To make a long story short we got caught up in a 225 acre prescribed burn in the Tyler Bend area. Check out the photos! It was scary yet quite enjoyable.

GG this trip was a huge success! Now for the Pacific Crest Trail!

... some powdered donuts and orange juice for breakfast (which turned out to be a mistake). We traveled on down the road snacking on our breakfast and getting some miles put behind us. We grabbed lunch I'm the town of Ravenden at Grandma's Country kitchen. I just had a baked potato since I had an upset stomach, Shane had a grilled cheese sandwich. Bob & Marcia took us on a tour of Mountain Home and we ended up at Bull Shoals Dam - a dam on the White River built by the Army Corps of Engineers in 1951. The purpose of the dam was to prevent flooding and generate electricity. Pretty impressive! We watched a short film about the dam and toured the Visitor's Center. Very interesting.

... into the birthplace of Rock 'n Roll. I want to listen to it again with earphones to hear all the conversations these 4 guys had during the jam session. Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Johnny Cash jamming - what more could you ask for?

I took no pictures today but I think I'll include a couple of pics of my latest art project which I finished just before we left.
