Day 12: 21 miles (Bahahahaha.. just thinking about that mileage sets a deep ache into my feet)
This day was the most exciting of the entire trip. To make a long story short we got caught up in a 225 acre prescribed burn in the Tyler Bend area. Check out the photos! It was scary yet quite enjoyable.

... some powdered donuts and orange juice for breakfast (which turned out to be a mistake). We traveled on down the road snacking on our breakfast and getting some miles put behind us. Bob & Marcia took us on a tour of Mountain Home and we ended up at Bull Shoals Dam - a dam on the White River built by the Army Corps of Engineers in 1951. The purpose of the dam was to prevent flooding and generate electricity. Pretty impressive! We watched a short film about the dam and toured the Visitor's Center. Very interesting.
Guess what? They had a gift shop there too! Jens ...
... into the birthplace of Rock 'n Roll. I want to listen to it again with earphones to hear all the conversations these 4 guys had during the jam session. Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Johnny Cash jamming - what more could you ask for?
I took no pictures today but I think I'll include a couple of pics of my latest art project which I finished just before we left.
